Varian Villanueva is a singer, bassist and guitarist currently living in Berlin.


Born in Madrid, of American heritage, he started his musical studies at the age of eight, at the “Arturo Soria” conservatory, with the classical piano, gradually changing to classical guitar influenced by the great teacher and master guitarist Enrique del Rosal.


At the age of seventeen he started his studies in Jazz, in the “Taller de Musicos” initially on the guitar, but shortly switching to the bass, fascinated by the music of “Weather Report” and bassists Alphonso Johnson and Jaco Pastorious.

 

Paula Nozzari has been a drummer for more than 20 years, and is especially well known in the south of Brazil where she was born (Porto Alegre - RS).

She has been part of bands like Cidadão Quem, DeFalla, Penelope, and now is a member of the duo Canja Rave while living in Berlin.



Daniel Lima (number 1 percussionist from OSPA) and Marcio Bahia (Hermeto Pascoal) were her drum teachers.

She has performed with the Symphonic Orquestra of Porto Alegre (OSPA) playing percussion instruments. Also Paula Nozzari has recorded 12 studio albums participating in all the artistic creation of drum parts and songwriting original material, and participated in many compilations with many artists, and was part of Warner Music casting.

Born in São-Paulo - Brazil, started his music life at early age, with flute and violin lessons. Having played the drums for a few years, in 1990 during an exchange student program in USA he became acquainted with the guitar, and since then he has found his voice.


In Brazil he has worked with many singers such as Arnaldo Antunes with whom he played for 10 years and Virginia Rosa (for 2 years), as well as with bands of his own and a solo instrumental project.



Graduated as a classical composer and maestro in 2001 at Unesp (SP-Brazil), sound tracks and scores were also naturally part of his universe...
